The Project
English for Purpose Series (Workforce Entry Programs)
Concinnity is currently developing the English for Purpose Series, a crucial initiative creating mobile-accessible eLearning modules designed to prepare new arrivals for successful entry into high-demand job sectors. This program focuses on critical industries such as warehousing, cleaning, and construction, starting with specialised forklift training modules. This series began as a response to direct business feedback and has grown through strong partnerships with Ability Enterprises, Toowoomba Chamber, and Community Hubs.
Our Process & Solutions
Our process ensures the modules are directly relevant and highly practical:
Sector-Specific Content: We develop tailored content for individual sectors, addressing their unique workplace language needs.
Simplified Language: Modules feature simplified vocabulary and essential workplace English, making complex concepts accessible.
Compliance & Safety: Key elements of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and industry-specific compliance concepts are integrated.
Mobile Accessibility: All eLearning modules are designed to be easily accessible on mobile devices, ensuring flexible learning for participants.
Key Outcomes
The English for Purpose Series delivers significant outcomes for both participants and industries:
Workforce Readiness: New arrivals are prepared for safe and confident participation in high-demand jobs, bridging critical skills gaps.
Enhanced Employability: Participants gain foundational English and workplace skills directly relevant to their chosen industries.
Industry Collaboration: The project fosters valuable partnerships, ensuring the training directly meets current business needs.
Digital Inclusion: Providing mobile-accessible learning supports broader digital inclusion for diverse communities entering the Australian workforce.
