Volunteering Queensland

Custom Learning Design

Our rewarding partnership with Volunteering Queensland (VQ) focused on strengthening volunteer training and coordination through accredited online learning. Concinnity developed comprehensive training and assessment resources across qualifications from Certificate I through to Certificate IV in Active Volunteering, helping VQ modernise their delivery and expand their impact.

The Process

We transformed VQ’s paper-based materials into engaging, accredited eLearning. Using tools like Articulate Rise and integrating resources within the Axcelerate LMS, we built interactive modules, structured learning plans, and a resource library. We also developed Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and trade assessment kits for their RTO. A central design focus was creating compliant assessments that were practical, engaging, and reduced workload for assessors. To ensure smooth adoption, we also trained VQ staff directly, building their capability to manage and sustain the new system.

The Outcomes

This partnership delivered a full suite of accredited, digital learning resources that made VQ’s training more accessible, interactive, and scalable. Learner engagement increased through interactive eLearning, while streamlined assessments reduced the burden on trainers and assessors. With stronger online capability, VQ can now deliver high-quality training to a wider network of volunteers and coordinators. The success of the project led to our re-engagement for the Certificate IV, reflecting the trust and long-term value of our collaboration.
