Cyber Security Champions

Diversity & Inclusion Solutions

Concinnity is proud to collaborate on the Cyber Security Champions initiative, a vital community capacity-building program led by the Toowoomba International and Multicultural Society (TIMS). The project trains individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to become trusted champions of online safety, helping their communities build resilience against digital threats while fostering digital inclusion.

The Process

The program combines specialised technical training with essential employability skills to create well-rounded champions. Participants learn to identify and communicate common cyber threats, facilitate discussions, and confidently use digital platforms. Training is delivered through structured workshops, supported by video resources for both learning and community outreach. A peer-support model ensures participants learn from each other and remain connected, creating a network of champions who extend the program’s impact across their communities.

The Outcomes

This initiative is strengthening digital resilience and inclusion within CALD communities. Trained champions are actively raising awareness of online safety, while also building transferable skills that enhance their confidence and employability. The program fosters a sustainable support network that multiplies its impact — ensuring that communities are better equipped to navigate the online world safely, confidently, and together.
